Job Description

Join a collaborative surgical team in Sacramento, California, where you'll play a key role managing acute neurosurgical cases that come in through the Emergency Department or transfer center. You'll primarily provide consultative care for inpatients, handle trauma and urgent cases as they arise, and perform necessary operations alongside experienced ED physicians, hospitalists, and a well-supported ICU team. What you'll do Provide neurosurgical consultations for inpatients and acute admissions. Manage trauma and urgent neurosurgical cases as needed. Perform operative procedures in partnership with a multidisciplinary team. Maintain high standards of patient care and safety. Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients, families, and clinical teams. Contribute to operational and clinical decision-making to improve outcomes. What we're looking for Board certified or board eligible in Neurosurgery. Active California medical license or ability to obtain one. Strong communicator with a commitment to patient satisfaction. Track record of clinical excellence and the ability to thrive in a team-based setting. Schedule & workload Predictable schedule: 2 weeks per month (26 weeks per year). 183 days annually qualifies as full-time. Opportunity to perform both elective and emergency procedures. Compensation & benefits $2,500 per shift, with potential to earn 60% of collections for elective procedures. Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision.
