Aquarium Technician

Overview We are an aquarium maintenance company. You must have experience cleaning fish tanks whether for your hobby or exp in a fish store. We will pay you %50 of the job fee. We charge $1 per gallon with a $100 dollar minimum . All tanks have a $35 service fee and we often service larger tanks 125 gallons +. For reference, that's $125 + the $35 service fee = $160. since we pay you 50% you make $80 for the job. You will be a 1099 employee so please be prepared to fill out the appropriate forms.

New supplies will be replaced by the employee and the company will reimburse. please keep receipts. Duties Perform routine inspections and maintenance of aquarium systems, including filtration, lighting, heating, and water circulation equipment Conduct regular cleaning of tanks, filters, and associated equipment to ensure optimal water quality and clarity Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues with pumps, filters, lighting fixtures, and other aquarium hardware using hand tools and power tools Assist with water testing procedures to monitor pH levels, salinity, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate levels, and other parameters critical to aquatic health Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, water quality tests, repairs performed, and system performance logs Support the setup and installation of new tanks or systems as needed for exhibits or renovations Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during maintenance activities Qualifications Demonstrated aquatic knowledge with experience in equipment repair and troubleshooting Hands-on experience with aquarium maintenance and cleaning processes Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for repairs and installations Prior service technician experience or similar roles involving technical maintenance is highly desirable Strong understanding of water chemistry, filtration systems, and aquatic life care standards Ability to follow detailed instructions while maintaining a proactive approach to problem-solving Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in record keeping Join us to bring your technical expertise into a vibrant environment dedicated to aquatic excellence!
