Job Description

Join our team at Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois. We are seeking energetic, hardworking, and compassionate individuals to help us in supporting families with sick children as they seek medical care. This is a part-time position that works at both our Ronald McDonald House and our Ronald McDonald Family Room (inside UI Stead Family Children's Hospital).

Shift Requirements :
Minimum of four weekend shifts per month.
RMHC-EIWI
serves families 365 days a year. Weekend Associates must have consistent availability year-round, which may include holidays.
Associate Core Duties:
Welcome, orient, and assist families and visitors. Actively maintain a clean and welcoming environment for guests, including general cleaning, laundry, and preparation of guest rooms. Answer phones, provide information and register guests. Greet and guide volunteers on duty. Receive and steward drop off donations. Welcome and orient volunteer meal groups and/or begin meal preparation process for the daily evening meal.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
High School Diploma or GED required Excellent verbal and communication skills Ability to contribute to a positive team culture Reliable and able to work with minimal supervision Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills Ability to walk, sit, stand, use hands, climb steps and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Must have a valid driver's license.
