This location which opened in August 2006 is adjacent to The Andersons' grain elevator in Albion Michigan. The Andersons manages the 140 million gallon dry mill fuel ethanol plant which requires 48 million bushels of corn to operate and produces 375000 tons of distiller dried grains annually. Ethanol E-85 corn oil and CO2 are available.
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our grain logistics team.
This position is responsible for performing operations activities in the areas of Distillers Dried Grains with Solubles DDGS loadout inspection and general operations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspection activities such as probing trucks
Operate grain handling and receiving equipment; provide customer service to drivers and perform data entry of shipment details
Monitor equipment and processes to identify issues; resolve or escalate issues when necessary
Operate various types of mobile equipment
Assist with the movement of railcars
Perform general housekeeping activities

High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
Basic computer and data entry skills
Previous grain operations experience preferred
Ability to operate mobile equipment and/or a valid driverâs license preferred
Physical Requirements and Working Environment
Work is performed in an ethanol production facility that operates 24x7
Flexibility to work various shifts including nights and weekends during high-demand periods
Must be able to stand/sit for an extended period of time
Ability to frequently lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds
Must be able to climb/stoop/kneel at heights up to 180 feet
Works indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and temperatures
Working conditions could include dust fumes moderate noise and uneven surfaces
