Seasonal Rental Attendant - Sand Harbor (Summer)

Seasonal Rental Attendant- Clearly Tahoe Position Summary Rental Attendants are responsible for ensuring a smooth, safe, and enjoyable rental experience for guests visiting Clearly Tahoe's Sand Harbor concession. This hands-on, outdoor-facing role includes preparing the rental area for daily operations, greeting walk-up customers, managing on-site reservations, and accurately handling payments in a fast-paced environment. Rental Attendants will outfit guests with life jackets (PFDs), dry bags, and other equipment, ensuring all items are logged and accounted for. A critical part of the role includes providing safety briefings and basic paddling instructions, as well as monitoring guests while they are on the water and enforcing rental boundaries based on real-time weather conditions. This position involves a high degree of guest interaction, equipment handling, and coordination with team members. Rental Attendants will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and professional concession area and ensuring all gear is properly cleaned, stored, and secured at the end of the day. Emergency response awareness and a strong team attitude are essential. We specialize in transparent kayak tours, rentals, and seasonal outdoor activities including hiking, biking, and snowshoeing. With five operating tour locations, one rental concession, and multiple retail shops in the basin, we offer a variety of unique recreational experiences and career opportunities. Work Environment Rental Attendants will work primarily at our Sand Harbor Nevada State Park rental concession but must report daily to the Clearly Tahoe shop in Incline Village, NV. Due to park regulations, personal vehicles are not allowed at Sand Harbor; staff will be transported to and from the concession area in a Clearly Tahoe company vehicle. This position involves extensive outdoor work in a team environment and may require rotating roles throughout the day. Staff should be prepared for exposure to the elements, including sun, wind, and changing weather conditions.

Schedule Full-Time:

Up to 5 days/week

Part-Time:

Minimum 3 days/week

Shift Length:

8-10 hours/day

Start Times:

As early as 6:00 AM (openers) and as late as 10:00AM (closers)

End Times:

Up to 7:00 PM in peak season

Season Duration:

April 1 - October 31st (short-term roles available June 15 - September 15)

Schedule may vary based on weather and seasonal demand Primary Responsibilities Set up and break down daily rental operations Greet guests and manage walk-up/on-site reservations Outfit guests with gear and log add-ons properly Provide required safety briefings and paddling instruction Assist guests entering and exiting vessels safely Monitor guests on the water and weather/wind conditions Facilitate guest checkout and ensure accurate payment handling Maintain a clean and safe working area at all times Implement emergency protocols when necessary Train and support new team members as needed Secondary Responsibilities Attend required daily briefings, safety drills, and trainings Provide guests with local recommendations and general area knowledge Rotate roles within the rental team to support coworkers Perform light cleaning or maintenance on equipment Serve as a positive representative of Clearly Tahoe with park partners and visitors Required Qualifications Fluent in English (Bilingual Preferred) Basic swimming proficiency Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. regularly Comfortable working in and around water Proficient in kayaking and/or paddleboarding Familiarity with computer-based systems Strong communication and multitasking skills Previous customer service experience (Preferred) Must be able to reliably commute to Incline Village, NV Certifications (Preferred)

American Red Cross First Aid/CPR Lifeguard Certification Boating License Compensation & Benefits Training Rate:

$14.00/hour (Nevada)

Starting Rate:

$14.00 - $17.00/hour (based on certifications)

Long-Term Rate Range:
