Job Description

The Hospice Physician s
Essential Duties Are:
Provides expertise in caring for patients with life limiting, serious illness and their families. Provides medical direction to hospice/palliative care teams. Provides high level medication reconciliation, symptom management and detailed documentation of terminal disease. Duties include daily team collaboration, supervision of midlevel providers, assessment and documentation of terminal conditions, staff education, and liaison activities within the medical community. The overall goal is to improve the quality of life for every patient and family we have the privilege of serving across the state of Ohio. What you should know about the Hospice Team Physician position: This position is Full-time. There is weekend and on call responsibilities. This position will serve the South Regionof Ohio including inpatient unit, facility, and home visits. Must have ability to be credentialed in all of the south region. Physician opportunity with statewide coverage via telehealth and in-person care.
Qualifications:
MD or DO Hospice and/or hospitalist experience preferred Prior experience in working with terminally ill patients. Board certification or eligibility in Hospice & Palliative Medicine preferred Active Unrestricted Ohio license to practice Osteopathic or Allopathic Medicine. Unrestricted DEA license CPR Certified. Computer skills sufficient to properly document services and care. Ability to drive during daytime, nighttime or inclement weather. Valid Driver's License with Safe Driving Record State Minimum Automobile Insurance Coverage Must be able to pass a criminal background check Must be able to pass a 10 panel drug screen
