Job Description

Duties:
Guest Experience & Sales Provide warm, professional, and personalized service to all guests. Guide guests through tasting experiences with confidence and authenticity. Share knowledge of Rain Dance wines, vineyards, and story in an engaging and approachable way. Sell Rain Dance Vineyards wine and wine club memberships through a consultative, engaging, and friendly way. Maintain awareness of individual and team sales goals. Daily Operations Open and close the tasting room in accordance with established procedures. Accurately process transactions using POS systems. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment throughout service. Clear and reset tables efficiently to support guest flow. Wash, polish, and maintain stemware and service tools. Assist with dishwashing, including loading and unloading dishwasher as needed. Conduct general housekeeping as needed, may include restroom checks and taking garbage out. Assist with and/or execute service in varying capacities in special events. Events may be on or off-site. Food & Hospitality Support Assist with preparation, presentation, and storage of food offerings, including charcuterie and small plates. Maintain cleanliness and organization of all food prep and service areas. Inventory & Product Awareness Maintain awareness of wine inventory, including open bottles and retail stock. Ensure wines poured for tasting are properly accounted for and removed from inventory as needed. Restock wine and merchandise from storage areas as needed. Communicate low inventory or supply needs to management. Team Contribution Demonstrate initiative and remain productive during slower periods. Proactively identify opportunities to improve the guest experience and tasting room environment. Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding daily operations. Support team members during high-volume service and special events. Compliance & Standards Provide and ensure responsible beverage service in accordance with OLCC regulations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all applicable health, safety, and service standards. Follow all applicable food safety and handling standards in compliance with ODA regulations. Follow all company policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Passion for sustainable and organic winegrowing, wine sensory experience, the Willamette Valley AVA and in particular the Chehalem Mountains, and creating great hospitality experiences. 1+ years of customer service and/or sales experience preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings (required). Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry up to 50 lbs. Comfortable using POS systems and basic computer applications. Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid OLCC Service Permit. Professional appearance and demeanor. Additional Expectations A positive, team-oriented attitude. Flexibility and willingness to take on a variety of tasks as needed. Commitment to maintaining a high standard of hospitality and presentation. As part of the hiring process, a drug screen and background check is required.
