Job Description

This position is located at the Hamilton Creek Sailboat Marina.
Typical duties consist of:
Ensure that proper safety measures are exercised at all times. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees and assist the general public in a professional manner. Assists and communicates with the designated Supervisor in any phase of the marina's operation including maintenance issues. Enforcing and effectively communicating with the general public; all rules, regulations and procedures governing the City of Nashville's marina and clubhouse facility. Administer first aid to the injured, administer Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) if necessary; calls for emergency assistance when needed. Reports all incidents and accidents to the designated Supervisor and completes an accident report. Deals with inquires or complaints from the public in a diplomatic and respectful manner. Assists and maintains safety logs for the facility. Communicating with the general public and assisting with dockage reservations for riverfront over the phone. Must be able to operate the Point of Sale/cash register, computer and other related equipment Communicate safety matters and report maintenance issues with the designated Supervisor. Assist in cleaning the facility including restrooms and kitchen. Removal and collection of trash within the building and in the park. Monitor safety matters and report building maintenance issues directly with the Supervisor. Assist in maintaining safety logs Must be able to work weekends and holidays.
The ideal candidate should have:
Working k nowledge of computer and Microsoft office suite Knowledge of marinas and sailboats. Ability to communicate and work well with others in a professional manner. Ability to handle customer complaints and issues that arise in a professional manner. Must be certified in American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid. Work hours vary and will include days, evenings, weekends & holidays and you must be able to work any shift. Up to 30 hours per week. Rate of pay is $18.00 per hour. Position is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. (1 position available)
