Job Overview:

The farm hand will work daily under the supervision of the owner or farm manager either on the water or at a land-based facility. Daily tasks will be varied depending on the needs of the farm and the weather conditions. Duties that could be assigned on the vessel include operating the vessel, flipping cages, cleaning cages or bags, tumbling oysters, sorting oysters, harvesting oysters, cleaning oysters, installation of gear, repair of gear or any other task associated with the maintenance of the farm. All farm hands will be expected to enter the water to flip cages at least weekly. Land-based tasks could include but are not limited to: power washing bags, building mesh bags, splicing lines, cleaning oysters, bagging/counting oysters, cleaning vessels, performing periodic maintenance on vessels and trailers, sanding/painting of vessels, etc. Job requirements:

• Must be able to work long hours on a boat in the elements.
• Must be able to lift 85 lbs.
• Must be willing to work a varied schedule based on weather and the needs of the company.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have transportation.
• Must possess a positive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills.
• Must be a good swimmer and comfortable in the water.
