Certified Group provides analytical testing and regulatory guidance services in the food & beverage, dietary supplements & NHP, cosmetics, OTC, personal care, tobacco, nicotine, cannabis, and hemp industries. We are currently looking for a Livestock Dairy Audit Lead join our team! This position is responsible supporting the Director of Livestock Audit Services including the implementation and execution of livestock certification and audit services provided by Food Safety Net Services Certification and Audit (FSNS C&A). Support the management functions of all aspects of livestock audit activities including planning, budgeting, operations, quality, staff management, and financial results as it relates the services provided by the company. The function of this position is to support the supervision and management including overall performance, quality, profitability, and customer service in the division of livestock, with the primary focus on dairy livestock services for
FSNS C&A.
This position aids in the application and evaluation of certification and audit services used in the livestock industry. This position will have frequent contact with customers as well as review work, staffing structures, technical approaches, and work distribution. This position has the authority to provide the scope of work and to oversee the beef livestock audit and certification services provided byFSNS C&A.
The position also requires performing certification and other audits, shadow audits, witness audits, and training. This position will be backed up by the Director of Livestock Audit Services in the event of an absence.ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Establish a clear understanding of customer needs and competitive activities; then recommend strategies forFSNS C&A
to maintain a competitive advantage in the beef industry. Performs and manages certification and auditing services for beef livestock facilities as requested by customers to include, but not limited to the following:USDA PVP
approved beef programs Texas Cattle Feeders Association BQA Program Audit Animal Welfare Audits/Evaluations US Cattle Industry Feedyard Audit Industry and Customer specific audits and addendums Determine services offered Assist in financial planning and meeting or exceeding quarterly revenue and operating margin targets Assist in supervision of livestock auditors to ensure production, quality, and customer service standards are established, monitored, and maintained Coordinate efforts to demonstrate efficiencies in scheduling, traveling, and providing services Provide progressive feedback to Employees to facilitate individual and professional development. Demonstrates progressive coaching and mentoring techniques to develop a highly productive team Identify and market certification, and sale livestock audit services offered byFSNS C&A
Manage accounts to ensure customer services and expectations are being exceeded byFSNS C&A EXTENSIVE TRAVEL 75-100
% of the work week Assist in responsibilities for coordination of seminars and conferences including selection and scheduling of course instructors, course material training sites, etc. Prepares and conducts presentations Responsible for professional communication, in all media formats, to customers Acts as dairy livestock technical representative and industry liaison Maintain a high degree of technical competence by reading scientific journals, attending professional workshops, and being aware of industry issues and trends Work on special projects as assignedSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has supervisory responsibilities. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance withFSNS C&A
policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Six years livestock experience at minimum (dairy, farm, facility, industry, auditing, academic involvement, etc.) BS degree in Animal Science, Animal Welfare or related field; MS preferred Regulatory knowledge and experience necessary Experience with applied animal welfare for different livestock types Business knowledge as it relates to budgeting, labor analysis, and gross profit margins Or equivalent combination of education and experience Ability to gain required PAACO certifications Working knowledge ofUSDA PVP
guidelines Animal welfare/ or animal husbandry exposure required Hold valid Driver's License Must hold passport or have ability to obtain passportPHYSICAL DEMANDS
