POSITION OBJECTIVE
Harvest fresh product in the field for processing. Load the product into trucks for transportation back to the plant. Safely move harvesters from one field to another on the road.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Harvest fresh product as directed by on-site mechanic or Field rep 2. Unload product into back of field trucks for transportation to plant 3. Safely operate harvester on road during moves from one field to the next 4. Communicate with plant on radio when necessary 5. Clean harvesters when needed 6. Other duties as assigned.
POSITION PRE-REQUISITES
1. Valid driver's license 2. Company approval of driving record 3. Satisfactory completion of company administered harvester training 4. Ability to climb in and out of harvester 5. Ability to work any shift, and weekends as needed
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
1.
  • Occasionally lift up to 35 lbs.and carry objects weighing up to 20 lbs 2.
  • Sit in the cab of the harvester for the majority of the shift 3.
  • Primarily to and from harvester 4.
  • Extend both hands and arms in any direction 5.
  • Seize, hold, grasp, turn, or otherwise work with the hands 6.
  • Climb into and out of harvester cab 7.
  • Use high-pressure hose or similar object to clean harvester when directed 8.
  • Color vision
  • ability to identify and distinguish colors, Depth perception
  • able to judge distance and space relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are 9.
  • Express or exchange ideas by means of spoken English 10.
  • Hear communication in English on field radio
