Fiber Route Inspector

Key Responsibilities:

Patrol designated fiber routes using on a scheduled or rotating basis Inspect aerial and underground fiber infrastructure, including: Fiber cables and splice enclosures Utility poles, handholes, and pedestals Right-of-way conditions Identify and document known issues such as: Damaged or sagging cables Downed lines or poles Construction activity near fiber routes Vegetation encroachment Exposed or vandalized equipment and damaged handholes Take clear photos and detailed notes of any abnormalities Submit reports outlining findings, risks, and recommended actions using the Route Rider App Escalate urgent issues (e.g., fiber at risk of cut or already damaged) immediately to network operations or maintenance teams Have meetings depending on the route timeline to discuss findings with leadership Maintain accurate route logs and inspection records through the route rider app Follow all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company procedures Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Wichita Falls, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
