General Public- G Job Duties The Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Office of Weights and Measures, is seeking an individual to serve as Weights and Measures Inspector in a territory that includes Hampton, James City County, Newport News, Poquoson, Williamsburg and York County the Duties include enforcing the Weights and Measures Law and related regulations; testing, inspecting, and determining the accuracy of weighing and measuring devices used commercially in Virginia including motor fuel dispensers and small capacity weighing devices; sampling of motor fuels; conducting point-of-sale inspections; investigating related consumer complaints; completing documentation of activities; and preparing investigative summaries as needed.
