We build lasting landmarks. We are hiring a Field Laborer / Welder Trainee for someone who wants to grow into a skilled structural steel field welder and erector. This is a great opportunity for someone who has completed welding school, is currently in welding training, or has basic welding experience and wants real field experience. We are not looking for someone who needs to be chased all day. We are looking for someone who shows up, works hard, asks questions, takes direction, and wants to build a career in structural steel. Our foremen are ready to train the right person. You bring the drive. We will help teach the field side. Why This Role Matters Experienced field welders are hard to find. So we are building our own. This role is for someone who wants to learn structural steel erection, field welding, rigging awareness, equipment use, drawings, jobsite safety, and the standards required to become a strong Field Welder / Erector. This is not a "stand around and wait" job. You will work outside, move steel, clean up, grind, help crews, learn tools, and support active jobsites. If you want easy, this is not it. If you want a real trade and a path forward, this may be a strong fit.

What You'll Do :

Field Crew Support

• Load, unload, stage, and move materials on jobsites.
• Help keep the jobsite clean, safe, and organized.
• Support field crews with setup, cleanup, grinding, prep work, and assigned tasks.
• Assist with steel installation and field support under direction from foremen.
• Help crews stay productive by taking care of the details that keep work moving. Welding + Steel Training
• Apply basic welding school knowledge in real field conditions.
• Learn structural steel field welding expectations.
• Learn how to use grinders, torches, welding machines, and field tools safely.
• Build skills toward

certification over time.

• Learn how steel is installed, aligned, fit, secured, and checked in the field. Safety + Jobsite Standards
• Follow all PPE, fall protection, hot work, and jobsite safety requirements.
• Work safely around steel, equipment, lifts, cranes, tools, sparks, and active construction areas.
• Ask questions when unsure instead of guessing.
• Report unsafe conditions, missing materials, or problems to field leadership. Teamwork + Communication
• Follow direction from Field Foremen and experienced crew members.
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with the crew.
• Show urgency, reliability, and willingness to learn.
• Take feedback and improve from it.
• Be ready to work every day. What We're Looking For We are looking for someone with the right attitude and enough welding foundation to train. You do not need to be an experienced field welder yet.
