Cannabis Cultivation Laborer Job Summary:

The Cannabis Cultivator Laborer supports the cultivation team in the day-to-day operations of growing and maintaining cannabis plants. This role involves a variety of tasks, including planting, watering, pruning, harvesting, and general maintenance. The laborer ensures the cultivation area is clean and organized and assists with ensuring plants receive optimal care.

Overview:

This is the entry level position within the Nursery department. This employee should be able to handle all tasks nursery related, as well as train employees on said tasks. The duties of this position is to daily care of seed, clones, propagation and cleanliness within the nursery. Job Responsibilities & Duties Refers to nursery lead for cut schedules and plant maintenance. Sanitizes, cleans and washes trays, domes and mother room. Additional job duties as assigned Familiarity with state and local cannabis regulation Willingness to learn best practices of cultivation, with a strong interest in cannabis operating systems Basic knowledge of watering and planting Basic knowledge of tank operations Basic knowledge of clone maintenance

Experience:

Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related field OR industry-recognized training or education in a related field Good Agricultural Practices knowledge and experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Plant Care and Maintenance:

o Refers to nursery lead for cut schedules and plant maintenance. o Sanitizes, cleans and washes trays, domes and mother room o Familiarity with state and local cannabis regulation o Water plants according to established schedules and monitor soil moisture levels. o Apply fertilizers and pest control measures under supervision.

Environmental Control:

o Assist with monitoring and adjusting environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and light. o Ensure grow rooms and greenhouses are kept clean and free of pests.

Record-Keeping and Compliance:

o Maintain accurate records of plant care activities, including watering schedules and pest control measures. o Follow all safety and compliance protocols as directed by the Nursery manager.

General Maintenance:

o Clean and sanitize cultivation areas and equipment regularly. o Assist with the setup and maintenance of cultivation equipment and systems. o Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursery manager or lead cultivator.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

o Age minimum: 21 years of age. o High school diploma or equivalent. o Previous experience in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field is preferred but not required. o Basic knowledge of plant care and maintenance.

Skills:

o Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team. o Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. o Basic understanding of plant biology and growing techniques. o Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

Physical Requirements:

o Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. o Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, and standing
