Full-time Job Details:
This position is responsible for supporting contract poultry producers in the proper care, comfort, and management of company birds. The role provides technical guidance to ensure flock health, production quality, and compliance with company and government standards.
Key Responsibilities Advise producers on:
Building and equipment specifications Litter management and farm sanitation Bird comfort and flock management Feed and lighting schedules Conduct farm visits and document: Equipment settings Bird health and performance Egg production, body weight, and conformation Monitor feed consumption and collect blood/fat samples as required
Coordinate:
Bird placements Catch schedules Communication between hatchery, feed mill, vaccination crews, and live haul teams Ensure compliance with: Production contracts USDA and government regulations Help achieve high-quality flock performance while controlling production costs Requirements Education Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience Experience 1+ year of related experience preferred Skills Basic computer skills required Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to work independently and maintain producer relationships Schedule & Travel Standard schedule: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM Feed time required approximately 3 times per week; hours may vary 1-5 trips per year Must have a flexible schedule Additional Requirements Valid Mississippi driver's license required No more than two moving violations within the last two years No DUI convictions Must be able to obtain and maintain a company license Candidates must not own or maintain domestic, wild, or exotic fowl Please attach resume when applying.
