Are you ready to take the next step in your Respiratory Therapy journey while making a real impact? Eligibility Requirement This opportunity is exclusively for students currently enrolled in the Respiratory Therapy program at Wake Technical Community College (Wake Tech) . Candidates must be actively enrolled in an accredited program to be considered. About the Role As a Respiratory Care Apprentice , you'll play a vital role behind the scenes—supporting our Respiratory Care team by ensuring equipment is patient-ready, workspaces are efficient, and supplies are readily available. This is a hands-on opportunity to build your clinical foundation while working alongside an experienced, mission-driven team. What You'll Do Inventory & Supplies Management (40%) Maintain inventory of respiratory equipment and supplies Place orders, verify shipments, and manage receipts Accurately document inventory and support supply availability Equipment Set-Up (30%) Prepare and set up respiratory equipment to ensure readiness Confirm basic functionality to support safe patient care Equipment Maintenance (30%) Monitor and evaluate equipment performance Assist with tracking required inspections Communicate equipment issues in alignment with policy Support Clinical Engineering with preventive maintenance Living the WakeWay to Excellence At WakeMed, how we work matters just as much as what we do.
