Nursery Technician

Immediately About Us We are a small wholesale nursery located in Mercer County, PA. We supply high-quality plants to landscapers, garden centers, box stores and professional growers. Our operation is hands-on, efficient, and rooted in strong horticultural practices. During peak seasons, we also operate two small retail garden centers. We're looking for someone who enjoys production work and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Position Overview This position plays a key role in plant production, plant care, and order fulfillment. This position is ideal for someone who wants to grow their horticultural skills while contributing to a small, hardworking team.

Key Responsibilities:

Wholesale Production & Operations Assist with daily plant care: watering, fertilizing, pruning, spacing, and monitoring plant health Support propagation tasks including seeding, cuttings, transplanting, and potting efficiently Prepare and pull wholesale orders accurately and efficiently Maintain organized growing areas, greenhouses, and inventory zones Monitor for pests and diseases and report findings to the Head Grower Assist with loading/unloading trucks and receiving materials Maintain labeling, tagging, and inventory accuracy What We're Looking For Self-directed, competent individual with strong attention to detail Interest in plants, horticulture, or agriculture Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Comfortable with physical work: lifting up to 40 lbs, bending, standing for long periods Reliable, detail oriented, and able to follow instructions Team oriented with a positive attitude Wholesale or nursery experience is a plus but not required Obtain PA Pesticide license within 6 months of hire date Willingness to learn and take on new tasks as the season demands What We Offer Hands-on training in wholesale nursery production A supportive, close-knit work environment Flexible scheduling Pay Commiserate with experience How to Apply Please send your resume and a brief introduction to stoneboronursery@yahoo.com or apply through Indeed We'd love to hear what interests you about working in a wholesale nursery environment
