We're looking to add an enthusiastic and talented Underground Wet Utilities Laborer (Drain Field Laborer) to our Septic Service Team . Our ideal candidate is reliable, safety-minded, hardworking , and motivated to learn and grow in the underground utilities trade . This position will specialize in drain field rehabilitation and new installation , but is not limited to those tasks , offering the opportunity to expand your skill set across a variety of underground utility services. Position Summary An Underground Wet Utilities Laborer installs, maintains, and repairs underground utility systems such as drain fields. This is a hands-on, labor-intensive role working in various weather conditions, involving trenching, grading, and assisting with system troubleshooting and installation across Pierce, King, and surrounding counties. Candidates should have experience with underground wet utilities , a strong understanding of basic outdoor plumbing , and a high aptitude for plumbing-related work . Typical Tasks Digging trenches for drain field and utility pipes according to specified dimensions Laying and aligning perforated drain pipes Backfilling trenches with appropriate soil materials Leveling and grading drain field areas Locating underground utilities using marking flags or detection tools Site cleanup and debris disposal Collaborating with project managers, dispatch, estimators, and customers Requirements Must possess a valid driver's license with 3+ years of verifiable driving experience An acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR); occasional operation of a company vehicle may be required Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check Comfortable working in all weather conditions Physically able to perform heavy labor Proficient with hand tools Willingness to become a WOSSA Certified Level 2 Technician (company-paid training) Preferred Qualifications 2+ years' experience in septic or underground utility services CDL Certified O&M Level 1 or Level 2 Specialist (Active License) Experience with Service Titan Familiarity with local codes, bylaws, and regulations (Pierce, King, etc.) Proficient in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and inspecting systems Experience with excavation, jetting, stress testing, and repairs Ability to direct labor crews safely and efficiently Experience reading as-builts and compliance reporting Heavy Equipment Operation (Mini Kubota): 2 years (Preferred) Benefits Package Includes Company Paid Medical for Employees ($25.00 bi-weekly employee contribution) Dental Insurance
