Position Overview Braun Construction is hiring Landscape Laborers to support our Chumbley / Cottonwood environmental restoration projects . This work focuses on wetland mitigation, invasive species removal, and native habitat restoration at sites in Washington State, including a remote island site on the Columbia River near Kalama, WA and a site near Woodland, WA . This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working outdoors and wants hands-on experience in environmental restoration and landscaping. What You'll Be Doing Clearing invasive vegetation (blackberry, reed canary grass, flag iris, etc.) Weed whacking, brush cutting, mowing, and hand clearing Assisting with herbicide applications (backpack and ATV sprayers) Planting, seeding, mulching, and protecting native species Installing and maintaining erosion control measures (silt fence, wattles, mats) Operating equipment such as ATV/UTVs, small tractors, and skid steers (as trained) Loading/unloading tools and materials and maintaining clean job sites Working safely around equipment and crews in active work areas Traveling by boat to/from island jobsite (crew transportation provided) What We're Looking For Reliable, hardworking individuals who enjoy working outdoors Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting 50 lbs, hiking uneven terrain, long days on your feet) Strong work ethic and positive attitude Ability to follow direction and work as part of a crew Comfortable working in all weather conditions Qualifications Valid driver's license with clean driving record (required) Prior landscaping, forestry, or construction labor experience preferred but not required Experience with weed control, restoration, or equipment operation is a plus Pesticide Applicator's License (OR or WA, especially Aquatic) is a plus but not required Job Location & Schedule Projects located in SW Washington (Kalama & Woodland areas) Some work performed on a remote island (boat access provided daily) Typical schedule: Monday-Thursday, 4x10s (weather dependent) Occasional overtime as needed Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience Prevailing wage work opportunities on qualifying projects Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance (company paid) Paid holidays and sick leave 401(k) with company match Per diem and travel pay when applicable Opportunity for advancement within the company Why Join Braun Construction?
