Our teams deliver high-quality, data-driven field services supported by internal operations, remote sensing programs, and advanced workflow technology. Position Overview UPE is seeking a Supervisor-level professional to support vegetation management operations. The selected candidate will be placed at the appropriate level (Supervisor I, II, or III) based on experience, certifications, and demonstrated capability. This role oversees field personnel, supports training and quality control, ensures compliance with safety standards, and maintains communication with clients and internal leadership. The Supervisor is expected to uphold UPE's operational standards while contributing to efficiency, safety, and team development. Key Responsibilities (All Levels)
  • Supervise and support field crews in daily vegetation management activities
  • Oversee an approximate 5:1 staff-to-leader ratio
  • Train and onboard new field personnel
  • Enforce daily safety protocols and regulatory compliance
  • Conduct field quality assurance reviews
  • Communicate project progress and deliverables
  • Assist with scheduling, coordination, and performance tracking
  • Review field data for accuracy and alignment with UPE's Quality Control Program
  • Monitor employee self-audits and provide coaching and feedback Supervisor II
  • Additional Responsibilities
  • Lead onboarding and advanced field training
  • Assign and track work across teams or territories
  • Resolve basic to moderate employee conflicts
  • Conduct incident and accident investigations with reporting
  • Identify operational trends and implement corrective actions Supervisor III
  • Additional Responsibilities
  • Manage complex operations with minimal oversight
  • Lead special projects and operational improvement initiatives
  • Mentor and develop team leads
  • Conduct comprehensive incident investigations
  • Identify and implement operational efficiencies
Minimum Qualifications Supervisor I:
  • ISA Certified Arborist
  • 3+ years CUF or similar experience
Supervisor II:
  • ISA Certified Arborist with TRAQ
  • 2+ years supervisory experience
  • 3+ years CUF experience
Supervisor III:
  • ISA Certified Arborist with Utility Specialist + TRAQ
  • 3+ years supervisory experience managing complex projects Preferred Qualifications
  • Participation in industry working groups, regulatory panels, or publishing
  • ISA Utility Specialist or ISA Urban Forest Professional credentials
  • Degrees in Forestry, Urban Forestry, Environmental Science, or related fields
  • Strong vegetation management and safety knowledge Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
  • Ability to stand, walk, or move for extended periods
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to use field tools and handheld technology devices Work Authorization Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
