Job Description

Position Summary:
This position is responsible for the daily supervision of the crew at the Fort Huachuca Post Cemetery. This crew is responsible for maintaining the grounds within the cemetery, including mowing, fertilizing, irrigating, etc. This crew also prepares for burials and memorial events at the cemetery. Qualified applicants with a diagnosed disability will be given preference.
Essential Functions and Major Responsibilities:
Ensure all daily cemetery maintenance activities are complete and standards are met or exceeded, includes but not limited to: Perform a pre-check of the job site to eliminate any safety hazards or other problems Inspect parked cars around the work area for damage prior to starting the task and complete the appropriate form Report any equipment, property, or other damage to the Project Manager immediately Perform a walk-through of the site at completion to ensure all supplies, tools, trash, etc. are picked up Complete all paperwork and reports on a daily basis (daily reports, route sheets, equipment checklists, etc.) Supervise preparation, organization, and loading/unloading of all equipment, includes but not limited to: Ensure vehicles have fuel and complete gas log Conduct vehicle/equipment safety checks at the beginning and end of each shift Attach/detach trailers to trucks, and inspect to ensure trailers are properly attached Make sure operators complete their daily checklists Observe and supervise crew during the shift; train, coach, motivate, provide corrective action when needed and set the pace of work, includes but not limited to: Ensure all crew members are wearing appropriate PPE for each task Pause crew working to allow oncoming traffic and pedestrians safe passage Instruct employees in the proper, safe use and care of equipment and supplies Recommend staff disciplinary action to the Project Manager Represent Premier Alliances in a positive manner while at the job site Report accidents and injuries according to organization policy and procedure Relay all customer concerns to the Project Manager in a timely manner Attend safety training as required and ensure attendance of crew Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Project Manager Mental Demands of the Job While performing the responsibilities of this position, these mental demands are representative of the environment the Cemetery Lead will encounter. The lead must be able to read and write in English to complete forms. Physical Demands of the Job While performing the responsibilities of this position, these physical demands are representative of the environment the Cemetery Lead will encounter. While performing the responsibilities of this position, the employee is required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel. The employee is frequently (up to 95%) required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs. may be required. Work Environment While performing the responsibilities of this position, these work environment characteristics are representative of the environment the Cemetery Lead will encounter. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Daily exposure to a computer or tablet. The employee may be exposed to weather conditions ranging from heat to wind, rain, and cold temperatures. They are provided with PPE by the organization.

Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment Ability to work with attention to detail Ability to manage others and communicate clearly with a diverse crew Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends Strong work ethic, team player attitude, and punctuality
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent Minimum one year of experience in landscaping, and grounds maintenance, including tractor/mower operation; AND A valid Arizona Class D driver's license AND Ability to be insured under Premier Alliances' automobile policy if the position requires driving a company vehicle or rental car. Ability to pass a preemployment drug test (including marijuana)
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in the disability services industry or non-profit industry Previous supervisory experience Experience managing cemetery operations Extensive experience or knowledge of tractor/mower operations Qualified applicants with a diagnosed disability will be given preference.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent and one to three years of experience in landscaping, and grounds maintenance, including tractor/mower operation or custodial setting; AND A valid Arizona Class D driver's license and a reliable personal vehicle; AND Ability to be insured under Premier Alliances' automobile policy if the position requires driving a company vehicle or rental car.
