Apply Today! We Exist for You to Succeed. Summary Responsible for the accurate weighing of in-bound and outbound truckloads. Ensures compliance with necessary record keeping requirements. Facilitates the day-to-day administration of plant safety program. Facilitates compliance monitoring inspections of exclusionary fencing according to the company's fence line monitoring plan. Tasked with meeting the environmental permit requirements of assigned area(s). Essential Functions This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned. Performs all set up and close out activities for the scale to ensure the accurate and timely weighing of in-bound and out-bound trucks. Creates and maintains contracts, reports and associated paperwork in designated computer systems, ensuring documents are legible, completed timely, and filed appropriately. Calculates net weight and enters weigh tags into the computer terminal including correction of discrepancies. Coordinates all internal movements of materials for assigned area(s). Utilizes Oracle Transportation Management system (OTM) to ensure the proper movement of materials to outside destinations. Maintains adequate housekeeping in work areas and cleans up after completion of the job and at the end of the shift. Collects product samples according to Laboratory Procedures sampling criteria in assigned area(s). Works with contract labs for sample evaluation according to customer requirements which include: Particle Size Distribution and Chemistry Analysis . Analyzes product sampling results for conformity with standards. Provides Site Specific Awareness Safety Training for truck drivers, visitors and contractors on an on-going basis. Reports equipment usage and operational suitability in accordance with Plant Safety standards. Completes and produces Daily Pre-Use Equipment Inspection Report (ATV) in accordance with Plant Safety Standards. Inspects and reports any unsanitary conditions that are observed to Supervisor. Facilitates perimeter inspections of exclusionary fencing to identify mammals, vertebrates and invertebrates in close proximity to the active quarries. Properly completes observation logs and notifies the appropriate parties when species are found. Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness. Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental, and safety regulatory consideration. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of agriculture, environmental monitoring, operations, transportation, and/or as a weighmaster experience. Required to be at least 18 years of age. Required to work a flexible schedule with varying hours, due to seasonality of business. Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds. Ability to walk considerable distances, traversing along hillsides and during adverse weather conditions. Ability to perform basic math and data entry. Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Proficient in Microsoft office products (Outlook, Excel and Word) at a basic level. Preferred Qualifications High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 3 years of environmental monitoring, transportation, and/or weighmaster experience. One year experience in environmental compliance monitoring. Experience completing monitoring and compliance related documents. Ability to utilize SAP and OTM at a proficient level. Prior environmental science or biology focused experience. Fluently speak in Spanish. Compensation Hiring Hourly Rate:
$21.01 - $24.66 Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
