Our unique day camp program allows kids to engage in activities such as building treehouses, cooking over campfires, building anything that they want in our outdoor wood shop, and exploring their growth potential in a natural 20-acres of wild forest. The base job position is being a simple camp counselor (Mentor) at the Big Kid Adventure Maker Day Camp for ages 7 to 12. Here are all of the adult job positions being filled right now: Mentors for kids making wooden toys at the outdoor forest Tool Tables. Forest Treehouse Construction Mentor. "Master Crafter" at one of the outdoor Woodshop Tables with power tools. Archery Range Mentor, including BB guns and Tomahawks. Blacksmith Metalwork Mentor. (We train you. It is easy). Mentor for the Alumni Treehouse Village, for our oldest campers (ages 11+). Camp Program Director, or assistant. and weekend Maintenance jobs are also available. As a Tribal Wisdom Academy Program Director, or even as just a simple Camp Mentor, you will play a vital role in guiding children through enriching experiences in our Forest Treehouse Adventure Park. Our team specializes in social-emotional growth and physical development for the kids (and for you, the staff) in a supportive outdoor environment. Responsibilities Facilitate engaging outdoor activities that promote traditional skills and teamwork. Support the social-emotional development of campers through mentorship and guidance in our proven safety protocols. Communicate effectively with Directors regarding camper experiences. Requirements Age 18+ with three work references from previous jobs. Ability to drive or carpool to our easy location. (1 Los Gatos Farms Drive, Los Gatos, CA). Preferably some experience working with children. Ability to mentor children in a positive learning environment. Passion for outdoor activities and experiential learning.
