Job Description

We're looking to grow our Duck Technology Team at NLS! Are you ready to step into a high-impact leadership role where your Duck Creek expertise truly makes a difference? As a Policy Tech Lead , you won't just be building solutions—you'll be shaping them. This is your opportunity to lead technical design, mentor developers, and work directly with clients to bring complex insurance solutions to life. What You'll Do:
Partner with clients and internal teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions Lead the design and development of custom Duck Creek solutions using ManuScript Provide technical leadership to your development team, offering guidance and mentorship across the platform Drive solution approvals, including requirements, architecture, and delivery timelines Support project planning and ensure solutions align with long-term client strategies Take ownership of customer issues and lead them through to resolution Contribute to a collaborative team environment while elevating team capabilities
What You'll Bring:
6-10 years of industry experience, including 5+ years with Duck Creek products Deep expertise in Duck Creek Policy Administration and/or Billing (Author, Express, Server, User Admin, TransACT) Hands-on experience with ManuScript configuration and inheritance structures Experience with Duck Creek APIs, Duck Creek Anywhere, and Duck Creek Skins Strong background in C# custom business objects and XML (or similar programming languages) Experience with Duck Creek tools such as Author (Fields, Pages, Forms, Tables) and debugging tools (TraceMonitor, ExampleUtil, Data Tester) Knowledge of Duck Creek Shredding including IDO Solid experience with SQL Server, stored procedures, triggers, and related database objects Understanding of the full software development lifecycle, including Agile environments Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with clients A self-starter mindset with strong organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) Why Join NLS?
