TheJoint Preservation and Reconstruction Orthopedics clinic is now hiring for a passionate and personableMedical Assistant to work at their clinic located near theBoise Regional Medical Center.
Position Summary& Highlights:
This MA position will primarily support surgery scheduling for all Joint Surgeons at the Boise clinic and will also work as a clinic MA and rotate between all of the Orthopedics providers at the clinic. See below for additional details. Our clinics offer patients both surgical and non-surgical treatment options for their problems. Patients can feel confident they are in capable hands with board-certified Orthopedic Surgeons whose highest priority is excellence in patient care. Please make sure you review and meet minimum requirements for this position before applying. MA positions require either prior MA experience or completing an accredited MA program. CNA and EMT certification/experience does not count towards an MA certification. See Minimum Requirements section below for details.
What You Will Do:
You will primarily be scheduling and coordinating surgeries for all Joint Surgeons at the Boise clinic. This includes patient education and communication regarding preparing for surgery and post op care, handling authorizations and insurance issues. In addition to surgery scheduling, you will work as a clinic MA rooming/vitals, prep injections for minor procedures, complete chart prep, DME application, and suture removals. An ideal candidate will have previous surgery scheduling experience as an MA, knowledge of insurance and pre-auth process and troubleshooting. You will also have an interest in sports medicine and orthopedics, are a quick learner, have an easy going personality, and is a flexible team player willing to jump in on whatever is needed to be done.
Work Schedule:
This position will work Monday - Friday, around the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent requiredat hire. •MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) American Medical Technologists (RMA) National Healthcare Association (CCMA) National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA) National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA) American Medical Certification Association (CMAC) National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA)
New Graduates:
1) MA certificate of completion required from an accredited program or school. 2) Completion of either a100-hour MA externship or6 months MA experience in lieu of the externship hourseven with MA certification. Medical Assistant with
Experience:
1 Year of MA experience ORCurrent MA Certification OR obtain or renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved credentialing agencies listed above. Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is requiredat hire. •Obtaining the MA certification typically requires completing an MA Program or working as a Medical Assistant for at least 1 year.
