Maintenance Specialist 2nd Shift (3-11:30 pm)

Full-time Maintenance Specialist (Monday- Friday) 2nd Shift 3:00 PM-11:30

PM Job Summary:

The maintenance specialist is a service-oriented individual that assists in keeping the physical structure and associated equipment of the hospital in good repair. This service also extends to the associated equipment and structures of the remote physician offices.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Performs routine maintenance around the hospital building and remote physician offices Repairs broken or leaking plumbing to avoid water damage Repairs damaged electrical wire in a safe manner Maintains building HVAC equipment Applies preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems Refreshes old, faded, or chipped paint on doors, trim, and walls Receives, responds to, and closes out work orders (Track-It Helpdesk/Workhub) Follows safety guidelines Collaborates with coworkers and follows proper chain of command for escalating issues Performs other duties as assigned

Ability to work under limited supervision Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong attention to detail Physical stamina to handle being active for a full shift Possesses knowledge of turf management, irrigation systems and maintenance, herbicides/pesticides Follows all safety regulations: wears safety apparel when working, i.e., safety glasses, appropriate shoes Adheres to all hospital policies and procedures Familiarity with or the ability to quickly learn TrackIt and Workhub systems Ability to use hand tools and power tools Excellent organizational and time management skills

Preferred Skills:

Background in HVAC, steam production, commercial plumbing, bio-medical, or related experience
