Responsibilities expand to include routine troubleshooting, basic maintenance, and quality checks. The role requires effective communication, attention to detail, and the ability to follow established protocols to ensure safe and efficient operations. Responsibilities Operating Machine or Equipment Operate semi-complex equipment and machines, prioritizing routine tasks to improve efficiency and adjusting multiple related variables to resolve production problems. Operations Management Carry out operational tasks by following established processes. This will involve adjusting multiple settings or parameters to meet performance standards. Equipment Installation Carry out simple installation tasks, following detailed instructions and working under close supervision to complete the allocated tasks. Equipment Maintenance and Repair Carry out simple maintenance and repair tasks, following detailed instructions and working under close supervision to complete the allocated tasks. Quality Assurance Perform relatively simple quality sampling and inspection of products or processes (or both). Health, Safety, and Environment Follow the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate risks and to safeguard the environment and the well-being of self and others. Operational Compliance Develop working knowledge of the organization's policies and procedures and of regulatory codes and codes of conduct relevant to own work, adhering to mandatory procedures to ensure own work is undertaken to the required standards. Internal Communications Use the internal communications system to access specific information. Work Scheduling and Allocation Work assigned schedule each day in line with changing priorities. Personal Capability Building Develop and maintain excellent procedural or technical skills by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching. Data Collection and Analysis Extract relevant data from information provided by others, and input it into spreadsheets or standard formats. Tasks Maintain housekeeping and 5S standards. Conduct detailed operational observations which are shared with engineering team to incorporate learnings in future trials. Respond to power failures and emergency shutdowns. Execute approved process changes and troubleshoot within trial specifications. Operate, adjust, and maintain equipment (examples casting, buffing, winding, and mixing). Perform routine and advanced troubleshooting and repairs. Conduct equipment inspections, cleaning, and preventative maintenance. Manage die head, belt, roller, and brush operations including installation, alignment, and specialty maintenance. Monitor process parameters and make adjustments to optimize quality and productivity. Collect and analyze process data, perform sample tests, and document results. Inspect finished goods and raw materials for quality; approve or reject as needed. Follow and enforce safety protocols, including PPE use, LOTO, and incident reporting. Conduct safety audits, training, and communication with team members. Address and report safety incidents, near misses, and environmental concerns.
