Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a Shrink Wrap Technician - Installation Specialist for a part-time position. This role involves installing shrink wrap on various objects and large structures to protect them from environmental damage during storage or transport. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, skilled in hands-on tasks, and comfortable working in diverse weather conditions. The position requires travel to job sites, so being comfortable working on the road is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Technical Duties:
Travel to various job sites for on-site shrink wrap installations, sometimes requiring overnight stays. Operate and maintain heat guns and other equipment used in the shrink wrap process. Ensure accurate and timely completion of repair orders for heat guns and other tools. Monitor the rental program, including check-ins, availability, and customer order demand. Perform elevated work safely and efficiently as needed for installation tasks
Facility Maintenance & Warehouse Support:
Maintain and organize service areas, ensuring inventory of service supplies is up-to-date. Perform regular maintenance and cleanliness checks in all common areas, offices, and rest areas. Keep workstations, shelves, and pallet areas clean and organized to promote a safe work environment. Contribute to a clean shipping and warehouse area through daily housekeeping activities. Complete necessary reports by accurately entering information.
Qualifications & Skills:
Hands-on Skills:
Strong technical abilities and comfort with using tools.
Teamwork & Coordination:
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Organizational Skills:
Strong planning, organization, and time management abilities.
Equipment Maintenance:
Knowledge of maintaining tools and equipment.
Dependability:
Reliable and able to manage responsibilities independently.
Tech Savvy:
Basic computer skills and familiarity with bar code scanning equipment are preferred.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent. Basic experience in construction or handyman work is preferred. OSHA certifications are a plus. Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Work Schedule & Benefits :
Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend availability for special projects This role involves working on the road, requiring travel to various job sites. Per diem for travel expenses is provided and paid out via an employee credit card. Competitive pay, paid time off, and holidays.
