Seasonal Property Inspector

Company Overview Sunset Rentals is one of the largest and most well-established vacation rental management companies on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, a market that sees over 2.5 million visitors a year and hosts popular events such as the annual PGA RBC Heritage tournament. Founded in 1993, the company has experienced steady growth over the last three decades. 20+ full time local staff manage a portfolio of around 250 select vacation rental properties ranging from large oceanfront homes to two-bedroom villas. Position Summary Join our team as a Seasonal Property Inspector at Sunset Rentals, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our vacation properties exceed guest expectations. This hands-on position is perfect for someone who thrives on variety and takes pride in their eye for detail. You'll travel throughout Hilton Head Island, independently inspecting our rental properties between guest stays, ensuring each home is immaculate and fully functional. With the freedom to manage your own schedule and the satisfaction of seeing immediate results from your work, you'll be an essential part of creating memorable vacation experiences for our guests. Key Responsibilities Perform housekeeping inspection after cleans have been completed to ensure the property is rental-ready, both interior & exterior. Perform maintenance checks to ensure all functions of the properties are in working order including electronics (TVs + WiFi), appliances, and lights. Perform basic maintenance tasks, as needed (changing light bulbs, changing batteries in remotes, etc.) Perform basic cleaning tasks, as needed Communicate any problems or issues discovered at properties to the office, if not able to resolve while at the property Ensure properties are properly staged and ready for guest arrival Required Qualifications Detail oriented and organized - must perform thorough inspections. Excellent communication skills - relay detailed information to the operations team of any necessary repairs between guests. Be able to multitask, prioritize tasks and adapt to change quickly and with positivity. Physical ability to perform duties. Requires frequent walking, bending, stooping, reaching, stair climbing, etc. Ability to climb stairs, stoop, bend, reach, lift up to 25 pounds. Drivers license required Must have a reliable vehicle to travel to properties and island locations throughout the shift Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in hospitality and/or property inspections preferred, but not required.

Compensation, Schedule, & Benefits Hourly Salary:

$20 Benefits Workplace perks such as recreation activities, food and coffee, and flexible work schedules Schedule Weekend availability is a must Inspections are primarily Saturdays and/or Sundays, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm (thru September) Monday thru Friday inspections are on an as needed/on-call basis.
