Shift A:
Monday - Friday, 8 hrs starting at 7AM PST OT as needed

Pre-Screen Questions:
Walk me through how you would approach integrating a new subsystem into an existing machine tool when the documentation is incomplete or unclear. Specifically, describe your process for identifying potential integration points, validating connections, and troubleshooting when something doesn't work as expected. Give me a real example if you have one You're assembling a critical, expensive component under tight schedule pressure, and you notice something that might be a tolerance issue but isn't clearly called out in the work instruction. The component is worth (USD)50K and any rework would impact the schedule. How do you handle this situation? This role involves working on custom machine tools that are first-of-their-kind. Tell me about a time you had to quickly learn a new piece of equipment or process, then train others or document what you learned. How did you approach getting up to speed when there wasn't an expert to learn from?
Responsibilities:
Manufacture, assemble, and test custom machine hardware according to written procedures, engineering models, work orders, drawings, and specifications Setup new production work areas, including tooling and equipment Perform second-party verifications and hardware inspections of engineering models, drawings, specifications, and written procedures Troubleshoot, diagnose, and correct malfunctions by modification, rework, repair, and/or maintenance Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for recurrence control Operate various material handling equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, aerial lifts, flight vehicle and subassembly transportation equipment Setup and operate a wide range of precision calibrated tools including, but not limited to, torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, laser trackers, height gauges, and optical measuring instruments Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for area safety and efficiency Perform routine maintenance functions such as daily clean-up of work areas to support 5S, FOD, and ESD
Qualifications:
High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience Interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, test procedures and P&IDs Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts around critical hardware Experience using common assembly and integration tools Climb ladders/stairs and work in small, restricted areas Work at heights on work stands and in lifts. Perform repetitive work, including lifting of items up to 40lbs Experience with verbal and written communication of technical data, results, and associated tools (confluence, MS-Office suite) Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
