About the Team About the team - Yard Operations We conduct hundreds of live auctions each year around the world. It takes a hardworking team of energetic people in a wide variety of full-time and part-time roles to conduct a successful multi-million dollar auction - from equipment inspectors, yard managers and operators to administrative staff and customer service representatives. Job Description The Yard Staff safely receives, merchandises, uses inventory accountability practices, operates MHE, and facilitates check-out of items. They may perform their duties at customer locations, RB Global facilities, and/or Government Locations. Strict adherence to the Ritchie Bros. standard of customer service is always expected of the Yard Staff. Responsibilities Receives/releases (checks-in/checks-out) inventory. Performs joint physical inventories at government locations. Uses systems to track and process inventory. Drives/operates heavy and light equipment. Performs facility inspections (per checklists) and provides housekeeping or maintenance services as necessary. Performs basic maintenance and light repairs on equipment. Merchandises and inspects items for sale. Boosts equipment. Performs basic demilitarization and deidentification. Checks fluid and fuel levels on equipment. Assist in coordinating logistics. Interacts with customers. Travels to other locations as needed. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Good customer service to both internal and external customers.
