Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Golf Course Superintendent to lead the maintenance and management of our premier golf course. In this vital role, you will oversee all aspects of course upkeep, landscaping, and turf management to ensure a pristine, playable, and visually stunning environment. Your leadership will inspire your team to deliver exceptional quality while maintaining the highest standards of safety, sustainability, and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the landscape and elevate the golfing experience for members and guests alike. Responsibilities Supervise daily landscape maintenance activities, including mowing, edging, fertilizing, aeration, and pest control to maintain optimal turf health and appearance. Manage irrigation systems efficiently, ensuring proper watering schedules and troubleshooting issues to promote healthy plant growth. Oversee landscaping projects such as planting new vegetation, tree care, and seasonal color rotations to enhance course aesthetics. Lead and supervise a team of crew members, providing training in horticulture practices, safety procedures, and equipment operation. Coordinate construction projects related to course improvements or infrastructure upgrades with contractors and internal teams. Conduct plant identification assessments to diagnose issues and recommend appropriate treatments or replacements. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, chemical applications, equipment repairs, and project progress for compliance and reporting purposes. Skills Extensive knowledge of landscape maintenance, turf management, lawn care, gardening, horticulture, and plant identification. Proven supervising experience with strong team management skills; capable of motivating staff and fostering a collaborative work environment. Skilled in irrigation management, irrigation system installation, troubleshooting, and water conservation techniques. Construction experience related to golf course development or renovation projects is highly desirable. Expertise in tree care practices including pruning, disease management, and safety considerations. Leadership qualities with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills for coordinating with contractors, team members, and stakeholders effectively.
