This role blends client relationship management, horticultural expertise, and project coordination, giving you a visible impact on beautiful properties every day. Client Relationships You'll build strong, long-term partnerships through proactive communication and exceptional service. That means regular site visits, honest assessments, same-day responsiveness, and detailed follow-ups after every walkthrough. Our clients expect a trusted advisor, not just a vendor. Landscape Enhancements & Sales You'll spot opportunities to elevate every property you manage — from seasonal color rotations to hardscape additions. You'll prepare designs and estimates using our company software, manage enhancement projects under $10,000 from proposal to completion, and support larger project sales alongside our installation teams. Operations & Coordination You'll work closely with our maintenance, irrigation, and installation crews to coordinate scheduling, materials, and quality standards. When a project is on your account, you own the outcome. Safety & Team Development You'll promote safety standards across all operations, support training in horticulture, equipment use, and communication, and flag unsafe conditions before they become problems. What We're Looking For Degree or background in horticulture, landscape design, or a related field Certifications such as CLT, QWEL, or landscape design credentials (preferred) Strong knowledge of plant care, irrigation systems, and landscape maintenance Excellent communication and customer service skills — you're the face of the company Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities without dropping the ball Valid California Driver's License (insurable) CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) About Penning Landscapes Penning Landscapes is a luxury estate landscaping company based in Napa, CA, offering full-service design, build, and maintenance for clients throughout the Napa Valley.
