Crew Foreman

Handles day to day maintenance on irrigation system, course watering, repair.

Assists in cultural practices:

spiking, top dressing, aerification, fertilization, spraying, etc. Brush, tree removal, training in chain saw usage safety. Ability to effectively supervised 1 or 2 individuals while using equipment. Answer to Superintendent/Asst. Supt. about small course project teams, irrigation repair, rough mowing, irrigation watering, and all other aspects of golf and turf management. Available to work weekends and holidays as needed. Scheduling can be adopted to fit the individual but usually consists of a weekend day and four weekdays during the season. Winter months are more flexible and variable. When needed, assist in course mowing greens, tees, fairways, rough, and other course setup duties that apply. May be involved in driving tractors, operating skid steers, and using excavators to preform various tasks or projects. Working knowledge of small engine operation and repair, helpful but not required. Associate's degree (AA); or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. All applicants without experience will be considered as well. Valid Driver's License, Pesticide Application License (or ability to attain one). Must be a self-starter and motivator that has a general eagerness to learn and grow. Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job.
