This position focuses on grounds management, seasonal attraction setup, property upkeep, and team leadership. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, enjoys working outdoors, and takes pride in creating a clean, safe, and memorable guest experience. This is a hands-on role with very little desk work. The ideal candidate leads by example, communicates effectively, and is comfortable providing direction, instruction, and support to seasonal staff, interns, contractors, and team members when needed. A majority of this position is focused on grounds maintenance, seasonal attraction setup, team leadership, property improvements, and guest-facing park operations, with limited involvement in traditional farming operations. Responsibilities Grounds & Property Management Maintain the overall appearance, cleanliness, and functionality of Fritzler Farm Park. Operate mowers, utility vehicles, skid steers, and other equipment as needed for grounds maintenance. Maintain landscaping, pathways, lawns, signage, flower beds, and guest areas throughout the property. Assist with irrigation, mowing, weed control, trimming, and general grounds upkeep. Monitor park conditions and proactively address maintenance and appearance concerns. Support seasonal decorating, attraction enhancements, and creative park improvements. Attractions & Maintenance Assist with construction, installation, maintenance, and repair of seasonal attractions and park infrastructure. Utilize basic hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively. Perform preventative maintenance on attractions, guest areas, and park facilities. Maintain fencing, gates, buildings, picnic areas, and other park infrastructure. Keep equipment, tools, and work areas organized and in good working condition. Team Leadership & Seasonal Staff Assist with training, directing, and supporting seasonal staff, interns, volunteers, and Corn Cops. Help establish daily priorities and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Lead by example while maintaining a positive and productive work environment. Assist ownership and management with seasonal staffing needs and project coordination. Seasonal Support Assist with setup, maintenance, and teardown of seasonal attractions, events, and infrastructure. Support operational needs during the Fritzler Farm Park season. Respond to maintenance, weather-related, and facility issues during the fall season as needed. Operations & Communication Maintain basic maintenance and repair records. Communicate project updates, supply needs, and operational concerns to ownership and management. Provide regular updates on project status and completion timelines. Work closely with ownership to prioritize projects and seasonal needs. Coordinate with team members to ensure projects are completed on schedule. Safety Operate equipment safely and follow all farm, workplace, and applicable safety procedures. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Identify and address potential safety concerns throughout the park. Help ensure attractions and guest areas remain safe and operational. Qualifications Required Experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, construction, facilities maintenance, agritourism, or related work. Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment. Ability to lead and work alongside seasonal staff and interns. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong work ethic and dependable attendance. Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Valid driver's license. Preferred 3+ years of grounds maintenance, facilities management, landscaping, construction, agritourism, or related experience. Previous leadership or supervisory experience. Experience operating skid steers, mowers, utility vehicles, or similar equipment. Experience coordinating projects and managing seasonal teams. Creative problem-solving skills and an eye for guest experience and property appearance. Schedule Full-time, year-round position. Extended hours may be required during seasonal setup, events, and special projects. Availability for evenings, weekends, and on-call support during the Fritzler Farm Park season is required. Additional Information This role reports directly to ownership and is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, building and improving attractions, leading teams, and creating memorable guest experiences. Housing may be available for the right candidate and, if offered, would be provided in addition to the listed salary.
