The Opportunity We are seeking a proven, entrepreneurial Irrigation Operations Manager to build, lead, and scale our in-house irrigation division from the ground up. This is a high-impact leadership role for a master operator who wants to transition our irrigation work from subcontractors to internal, elite teams. If you are an industry expert who excels at recruiting crews, establishing scalable processes, and driving operational excellence, this division is yours to build.
Key Responsibilities Division Building:
Build, structure, and scale Sunline Group's in-house irrigation department.
Talent Acquisition:
Recruit, train, mentor, and retain high-performing irrigation technicians and crew leaders.
Insourcing Operations:
Systematically transition ongoing irrigation work from subcontractors to internal teams to improve quality control and response times.
Daily Operations:
Oversee all installation, repair, maintenance, and complex troubleshooting operations for residential, HOA, estate, and commercial systems.
Efficiency & Metrics:
Manage scheduling, productivity, field safety, inventory, fleet, and equipment.
Strategic Growth:
Partner with branch leadership to cross-sell and expand irrigation services across our existing customer base, driving profitability and business unit growth.
What We Are Looking For License Requirement:
An active Florida Certified Irrigation Specialty Contractor License (State Certified) is strictly required. Candidates without an active state certification will not be considered.
Experience:
7+ years of dedicated irrigation industry experience, with at least 3+ years in a supervisory or operations management role.
Track Record:
Proven success building teams from scratch and managing subcontractor-to-in-house transitions.
Technical Mastery:
Deep expertise in smart controllers, two-wire systems, pump stations, wells, and central control systems across HOA and commercial scales.
