Job Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced Irrigation Manager to lead commercial irrigation operations for a growing landscape company in the Tampa Bay area. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for managing irrigation technicians, completing commercial property inspections, diagnosing system issues, preparing repair recommendations, supporting proposals, and ensuring irrigation work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. The right candidate will have strong commercial field experience, be organized, communicate well with property managers and internal team members, and know how to lead technicians while still being able to troubleshoot irrigation systems directly in the field. Responsibilities Lead, train, and support irrigation technicians in daily commercial field operations. Oversee irrigation inspections, service tickets, repairs, controller programming, troubleshooting, and system upgrades for commercial properties, HOAs, condos, and managed communities. Diagnose irrigation issues and provide clear repair recommendations. Coordinate scheduling, materials, labor, and follow-up to ensure work is completed on time. Support irrigation proposals, enhancement opportunities, and water management recommendations. Communicate professionally with property managers, account managers, and operations leadership. Ensure job documentation, photos, notes, and work tickets are accurate and complete. Maintain quality, safety, efficiency, and professionalism across the irrigation department. Help improve irrigation processes, recurring inspections, and smart controller/water management programs. Qualifications Strong commercial irrigation troubleshooting and repair experience required. Experience managing or leading irrigation technicians, crews, or field teams. Knowledge of commercial, HOA, condo, and managed property irrigation systems. Ability to diagnose valves, controllers, wiring, pumps, heads, zones, leaks, coverage issues, and water pressure problems. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple jobs, priorities, and team members at once. Comfortable using mobile apps, photos, work tickets, and basic reporting systems. Valid driver's license and clean driving record required. Florida irrigation or commercial landscape industry experience preferred. Compensation and Benefits Competitive salary based on experience.
Expected range:
$70,000-$85,000 per year. This role also includes substantial incentive opportunities tied to irrigation sales, properly priced enhancement work, and overall location performance. Benefits may include health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, paid holidays, company vehicle and fuel card for company use, company phone or phone reimbursement, and additional performance-based incentive opportunities. $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
