Irrigation Manager Confidential Port Charlotte, FL 33981 From $55,000 a year - Full-time From $55,000 a year - Full-time Overview A full-service well established landscaping organization in the Port Charlotte area is seeking a skilled irrigation manager to lead and optimize our irrigation division. We currently serve both residential and commercial accounts and are looking for a knowledgeable, motivated individual who can help grow and strengthen the business. This role requires strong leadership skills to manage the irrigation team, ensuring timely project completion and client satisfaction. An attractive salary is being offered based on experience to the most qualified candidate along with a retirement package.
RESPONSIBILITIES SALES
Working to pursue new leads and opportunities for growth and enhancements to existing irrigation systems. Managing and overseeing the estimation process to ensure efficiency. Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships by providing excellent customer service, follow-up, and ongoing communication with the client.
OPERATIONS
Manage operations to insure maximum daily productivity. Maintain a safe work environment. Manage equipment maintenance and repairs. Work in tandem with the other divisions within our company. Monitor fieldwork quality for accuracy and consistency in accordance with the company standards.
ADMINISTRATION
Process paperwork accurately and on a timely basis in accordance with company guidelines and procedures. Provide feedback to contribute to building a productive and effective team environment. Conduct and participate in employee and professional training events. Assist in training and mentoring irrigation staff. Assist in management of employee performance including but not limited to, hiring, termination, discipline, and development. Balance team and individual responsibilities.
FIELD DUTIES
Planning, installing and maintaining irrigation systems for various properties ensuring they function optimally and efficiently. Responsible for diagnosing and making repairs or adjustments to maintain all systems in proper working condition. Conduct scheduled irrigation inspections, noting deficiencies and making repairs as needed. Collaborate with clients, project managers and other team members to ensure project goals are met. Conduct site assessments to determine irrigation needs, design solutions and ensuring efficient water usage for optimal landscape health.
EXPIERENCE KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Considerable knowledge in the field of irrigation, installation, maintenance and repairs. Knowledge of the occupational hazards of the trade and of the proper use of safety practices. Ability to diagnose problems with irrigation system, pumps, clocks, and valves; necessary repairs and adjustments to maintain all systems in proper working conditions. Ability to install time clocks that operate irrigation systems. Ability to maintain records and submit reports on the conditions of all irrigation systems. Ability to interpret irrigation plans. Ability to operate Company vehicle and possess the required license.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 3 years field experience Minimum of 2 years managerial experience Valid driver's license
