Job Description

Job description We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Irrigation Service Manager to lead our irrigation service technicians in the maintenance and repair of irrigation systems for our contractual accounts. Applicants must be proficient in the operation of irrigation service tools and equipment. Strong written English and computer skills are required. Candidates must be able to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, using proper English. Spanish speaking is a plus!
Responsibilities of job:
Office Management Prepare and submit weekly service reports for customers and Director of Maintenance as requested Prepare and submit landscape and irrigation proposals for customers Hiring and completion of internal paperwork Scheduling of crews, equipment, and materials for work order completion Documenting employee performance Monitoring and recording employee labor hours Ordering and inventory of products and materials needed and used for jobs Monitor and manage emails Preparing and managing crew scheduling Training Assist in the development of personnel by working directly with the employees on job sites to ensure that proper procedures for are being followed Provide necessary training to ensure personnel development Ensure that time management is being optimized. Training of all crews for driving safety, first aid, and emergency preparedness Assure crews are using proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Assure all employees complete all required safety and equipment training Follow Accident/Injury reporting procedures and follow-up Field management Maintain a schedule to regularly visit and inspect properties to ensure quality control Visit jobs before, during, and/or after crew schedules to present instruction to foremen. Report directly to the supervising manager to present any conditions on the properties that need attention from other divisions within the company. Develop & maintain positive relationships with customers and board & committee members Perform property walk throughs and community inspections with customers Update customers with current landscape issues via preferred media such as texting and emails Photo documentation of properties Assist crews with supplemental tasks as needed Perform various landscape maintenance related tasks as needed After completion of several benchmarks, you will begin assisting with various duties as needed Expected time input: Approximately 45 hours per week. 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM with 1 hour lunch break. Some days can be more or less depending on workload. Saturdays may be needed occasionally, but not normally. If a Saturday or a paid holiday is worked, an additional days pay will be awarded.
Salary and Benefits:
Starting pay will be $57,200.00 per year salary, paid weekly at $1,100.00. There will be a $100 per week raise with successful completion of training provided by the Director of Maintenance bringing the total to $62,400.00 per year. Verizon cell phone. 5 days paid vacation/sick/personal days available after 90 days, 10 days paid vacation/sick/personal days starting in year 2.
Paid holidays:
Christmas day, New Years day, Thanksgiving day, Labor day, Memorial day and the 4th of July. After the 90 day probation period is completed employee will be offered a 401k program with up to 3% employer matching .
Expectations for performance:
Maintain a positive attitude. Show up to work rested, on time, and do not let personal issues get in the way of being an effective team member. Keep a clean truck and worksite. The truck will stay organized at all times to insure job efficiency. If you need tools they will be provided upon request. Maintain a professional look. Shirts and hats will be supplied. Wear long pants and boots every day. PPE will be provided. Jobs will be performed safely and on time. Show respect for management and crew members. Assist other employees in a reasonable manner when they request. Maintain communication with supervising staff. LeBel Landscaping is a drug and alcohol free work place. Do not show up to work under the influence. Drugs and drinking on the job are grounds for immediate termination. Regular attendance is mandatory. Any days that are requested off for appointments orvacations are required minimum 1 week before the said date. Emergency time off is understood as long as notification is given as soon as possible. Any missed days not covered by available PTO hours will result in the deduction of the days wages for the pay period. Keep an open mind regarding requested tasks. Employee will be trained on different facets of the landscape maintenance industry. Consider new tasks as a challenge.
