The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for landscape design and maintenance. This role requires hands-on involvement in various landscaping tasks while overseeing the work of team members to ensure high-quality results. About us Tyler's Landscaping is a small local landscaping business that has been operating in Rockford since 1987. Our team takes the time to really understand our clients. We have established long-term partnerships with some of Rockford's premier businesses, ensuring that their outdoor spaces remain well-maintained and visually appealing year-round. Duties Supervise and coordinate daily landscape maintenance activities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to company standards. Oversee the installation and maintenance of gardens, lawns, trees, and other landscape features. Manage irrigation systems, ensuring proper watering techniques are applied for optimal plant health. Conduct regular inspections of landscapes to assess health and appearance, implementing necessary care practices. Lead a team in groundskeeping activities, including mowing, trimming, planting, and mulching. Train and mentor team members on best practices in landscape maintenance and safety procedures. Build strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional service and addressing any concerns promptly. Qualifications Proven experience in landscape maintenance or a related field is required. Strong knowledge of gardening techniques, tree care, irrigation systems, and landscape design principles. Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience supervising teams effectively. Excellent communication skills to facilitate teamwork and client interactions. Ability to maintain a positive attitude while working outdoors in various weather conditions. Physical stamina to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
