Our Install Division installs hundreds of thousands of square yards of sod annually across residential, commercial, and municipal projects. We're a team that takes pride in doing things right — and we're growing. The Role This is a field-first operations role. You'll be the coach that gets our install crews launched every morning, keeps them supported throughout the day, and ensures every job meets our quality standard. You'll work closely with the installation manager and crew leaders to put together a professional product that serves a wide array of clientele, from commercial contracts to homeowner backyard projects. Core Responsibilities Own quality control across all active jobsites Complete warranty requests in a timely fashion, ensure the crews are maintaining a high level of installation quality and efficiency. Check in on completed jobs to ensure quality work and to remedy any flaws on the job Be the crew's support system throughout the day You are the person responsible for problem-solving on a day-to-day basis. From running parts for broken-down equipment, picking up topsoil, to coordinating sod shortages, it will be your responsibility to keep the crews running and set up for success Stay ahead of the installs team to keep them prepared day in and day out Scout next-day install jobs, check for grade/access issues, and note equipment needs Manage crew communication throughout the day Stay in contact and work with crew foremen to complete jobs in a timely and efficient manner Handle customer interaction on-site Talk with homeowners and commercial contacts at the job, communicate watering instructions, and represent Sod Shop in a professional manner Coordinate sod logistics at the jobsite Sod is a product that expires quickly, meaning time is of the essence, you will arrange the disposal and repurposing of extra sod at job's completion or coordinate delivery of extra sod if the crew runs short on sod on a job Manage weather decisions You will make the call on whether or not to install when it rains, followed by adjusting schedules, notifying crews, and the office What We're Looking For Required 3+ years of experience in landscaping, turf management, sod installation, or related field operations. 2+ years of supervisory or management experience. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Strong knowledge of sod installation techniques, irrigation systems, and site preparation. Ability to read project plans and specifications. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Willingness to get in the trenches when the crew needs it Preferred Degree or certification in Turfgrass Management, Horticulture, Landscape Management, or related field. CDL license. Bilingual (English/Spanish). Experience with project scheduling and field management software. Familiarity with H2A or H2B program

$65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
