JOB TITLE
Groundskeeping Assistant Supervisor SUMMARY :
Under the supervision of the Groundskeeping Supervisor, this role involves supervising a team of lawn care technicians, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and maintaining efficient operations. Oversees daily operations related to lawn maintenance and landscaping services. The Groundskeeping Assistant Supervisor will provide supervision to the Groundskeeping Assistants & Drivers, Groundskeeping Assistants, and Groundskeeping Helpers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1. Lead and supervise all groundskeeping staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient and effective operations. 2. Oversee daily lawn maintenance tasks, including mowing, fertilizing, aerating, and edging, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to high quality. 3. Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure it meets company standards and customer expectations. Address any issues or deficiencies promptly. 4. Create and manage work schedules for the lawn care team, ensuring adequate coverage for all jobs and optimal use of resources. 5. Ensure that all safety procedures and protocols are followed, including the proper use of equipment and adherence to safety guidelines. Promote a safe working environment for all team members. 6. Assist Special Projects Supervisor with tasks when needed. 7. In the absence of an a Groundskeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for the following: a. Conduct safety training and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment for the team. b. Managing and maintaining lawn care equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition, properly maintained, repaired, and serviced regularly. Report any equipment issues or malfunctions to the Lawn Supervisor. c. Ordering and managing inventory of supplies and materials necessary for lawn care operations. Ensure proper storage and usage of supplies. d. Maintain accurate records of all work performed, equipment usage, and any incidents or issues, including job logs, maintenance schedules, and client interactions. Provide regular updates and reports to the Lawn Supervisor. e. Interact with customers as needed to address concerns, answer questions, and ensure customer satisfaction. Provide excellent service and professionalism in all customer interactions. f. Provide requested reports and input to the rehabilitation department on any assigned clients. 8. Perform any other duties as assigned by supervision.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent; and minimum of two years working experience in lawn care or landscaping, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role preferred.

1. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, coworkers, employees, donors, customers and trainees. 2. Ability to demonstrate effective leadership skills and ability to motivate others. 3. Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude and a neat clean and well-groomed appearance. 4. Ability to communicate, both written and orally, on a professional and acceptable level necessary to carry out all aspects of assigned job duties. 5. Must have access to personal transportation for use to conduct approved Goodwill business. Must be able to pass MVR checks and provide proof of a valid Driver's license and personal auto insurance.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee may also be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds on a regular basis; operate heavy machinery. Involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and may require occasional weekend work.
