Overhead Services Manager About Us:
EA Networks is a cooperative network company based in Mid Canterbury. It owns and operates the region's electricity distribution network, as well as an advanced fibre optic communications network. Being locally owned and operated means EA Networks and its 130 staff have strong ties with the community that they work and live in. The core focus for EA Networks is maintaining a resilient electricity and fibre network while supporting the local economy and community.The Role:

This might be the change you've been looking for. As our Overhead Services Manager, you'll lead the team responsible for overhead work making sure jobs are planned well, carried out safely, and delivered with pride. You'll be the go-to person who supports the crew, coordinates with the wider business, and keeps quality and compliance on track.You will:
- Lead and support a field based overhead services crew.
- Plan and schedule work, making sure the right people, gear, and permits are in place.
- Set the standard for safety, quality, and teamwork—every day.
- Work closely with customers, operations, and support teams to keep jobs moving. Got what it takes?
- Proven experience in overhead services work within a contracting environment.
- Leadership experience—this could be leading a crew or managing an overhead team.
- A strong safety mindset and confidence with planning, permits, and job documentation.
- Good people skills: you can coach, set expectations, and keep the team working well together.
- New Zealand Line Mechanic Registration / Electrician Registration.
- Full New Zealand Class 1 Drivers Licence.
- Heavy Vehicle Licence (class 2, 3 or 4 licences) or willingness to obtain them.
