Job Description

If your idea of leadership is sitting in a truck all day pointing at things, this probably isn't the job for you. If you take pride in building beautiful outdoor spaces, leading a crew, solving problems, and standing back at the end of the day thinking, "Yeah, we crushed that," keep reading. Sharpe's Outdoor Services is growing, and we're looking for a Landscape Construction Foreman to help lead our crews on high-end residential and commercial projects throughout Livingston County.
What You'll Be Doing:
  • Leading and motivating your crew
  • Keeping projects on schedule and on budget
  • Operating equipment such as skid steers and mini excavators
  • Installing landscapes, hardscapes, retaining walls, drainage systems, sod, and irrigation
  • Solving problems before they become expensive problems
  • Maintaining quality standards that make customers say, "Wow"
What You Won't Be Doing:
  • Mowing lawns all day
  • Working for a company that treats employees like a number
  • Wondering where your next project is coming from
  • Explaining why the boss bought another boat instead of replacing broken equipment
What We're Looking For:
  • Previous landscape, hardscape, or construction leadership experience
  • Someone who can lead by example
  • A person who shows up on time, communicates well, and takes ownership
  • A valid driver's license
  • The ability to keep projects moving without constant supervision
