We are seeking an experienced Landscape Foreman to lead crews on high-end shoreline restoration, excavation, grading, erosion control, and landscape construction projects. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong field experience, equipment operation expertise, crew management skills, and the ability to independently manage projects from start to finish while maintaining exceptional quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise field crews on shoreline restoration, excavation, grading, and landscape construction projects Operate heavy equipment including skid steers, mini excavators, and related machinery Manage daily jobsite operations, schedules, production goals, and workforce allocation Perform and oversee grading, boulder placement, riprap installation, retaining walls, drainage systems, erosion control, and shoreline access projects Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within quality standards Train, mentor, and hold crew members accountable for workmanship and productivity Coordinate materials, equipment, and site logistics to maximize efficiency Troubleshoot field challenges and make independent decisions to keep projects moving forward Maintain clean, organized jobsites and properly maintained equipment Communicate professionally with customers, team members, and management This is not a clipboard foreman position. You will work alongside the crew while leading from the front.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of landscape construction, excavation, shoreline restoration, or construction experience Current or recent Foreman, Superintendent, or Crew Leadership experience Strong experience operating skid steers and mini excavators Hands-on experience with grading, excavation, rock work, retaining walls, drainage, and erosion control projects Ability to lead crews while actively working alongside team members Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong understanding of jobsite safety, equipment operation, and project execution Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Physically capable of performing demanding outdoor construction work Must live within reasonable commuting distance of
