Brooklyn, NY (projects across New York City) Lead rooftop landscapes that transform New York City. New York Green Roofs is a Brooklyn-based urban landscaping company on a mission to put more plants on more roofs. The team designs, installs, and maintains iconic rooftop gardens and green spaces that transform urban living, guided by core values centered on customers, team, integrity, and quality. New York Green Roofs is hiring an experienced Maintenance Crew Leader to help lead the care and continued success of rooftop gardens and green roofs throughout New York City. This role is ideal for a dedicated horticultural professional who can lead by example, maintain high-quality standards, and support the growth of both projects and people. The company is looking for someone mission- and values-driven who wants to elevate their own career while helping develop the team around them. Key Responsibilities Lead a team to maintain and elevate rooftop gardens and green roofs to the highest standards of quality Apply expertise in planting, pruning, soil care, irrigation, and lighting Help train and develop team members in field best practices Collaborate with other divisions across the company Contribute to a strong career path and growth culture within New York Green Roofs Qualifications 3 or more years of experience in landscape or horticulture maintenance, including crew leadership or foreman experience Strong work ethic, professionalism, and team-oriented mindset Comfortable working outdoors in all conditions and safely on rooftops Experience with irrigation systems and low-voltage lighting Passion for green infrastructure and sustainable landscape practices Valid driver's license and clean driving record required; must be comfortable driving a truck in NYC Preferred Qualifications Horticulture degree Green roof experience NYC experience NYC SST 40-hour certification or OSHA training Pay and Benefits Full-Time. W-2 employment

Pay:

$30 to $35 per hour, based on experience Paid meal break Paid time off 8 paid holidays Health insurance Retirement plan Professional development stipend

Schedule:
