Landscape Specialty Foreman RPI Services LLC Birdsboro, PA Job Details Full-time $18 - $25 an hour 5 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Flexible spending account Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Qualifications Customer communication Commercial truck driving Basic math High school diploma or GED Driver's License Supervising experience Riding mowers Manual handling Pest control chemical handling Crew management Managing grounds maintenance teams Full Job Description The Specialty Landscape Foreman is responsible for supervising and executing a wide variety of landscape maintenance tasks with a particular emphasis on the application of various fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides to lawns, trees and shrubs in accordance with the established project budgets and the company's policies and procedures. Essential Functions Applies various fertilizers, herbicides & pesticides to turf, trees and shrubs Performs and supervises landscape bed maintenance to include hand weeding and chemical control Performs and supervises edging and mulching of landscape beds Performs and supervises trimming and pruning of shrubbery using mechanical trimmers or manual pruners Assists with annual flower installations Performs and supervises annual flower maintenance/watering Performs and supervises turf maintenance (mowing, etc.) and fills in as needed as crew foreman Performs and assists with leaf removal Operates plow/salt truck and hand shovels Interacts with customers to report on work completed and addresses customer concerns, all in a pleasant and professional fashion Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or GED At least 2 years of landscape supervisory experience At least 4 years of landscape maintenance experience Valid Category 6 and 7 Pennsylvania Pesticide License or ability to obtain same within 90 days of appointment to position Basic math skills to calculate appropriate application rates for herbicides, pesticides and fertilizers Ability to supervise and manage a crew of 2-5 people Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License and ability to obtain/maintain a medical card for Commercial Motor Vehicles Expert ability in the operation of various pieces of landscape equipment including riding mowers, walk behind mowers, string trimmers, ride-on spreader/sprayers Physical Requirements Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time Ability to lift at least 50 pounds several times per day Frequent bending and reaching
