Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Wet Utilities Foreman to lead field operations on underground utility projects across the Dallas area. This individual will oversee crews installing water, sewer, and storm systems, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to high quality standards. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong field knowledge and the ability to manage daily production.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of field crews on wet utility construction projects Oversee installation of underground water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems Read and interpret plans, specifications, and grade stakes to ensure accurate installation Coordinate with superintendents, project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors Ensure compliance with safety standards, including trench safety and utility protection Monitor workmanship and productivity to meet project schedules and budgets Manage equipment, materials, and manpower efficiently on site Conduct crew briefings, safety meetings, and daily planning Identify and resolve field issues proactively to avoid delays
Required Experience:
5+ years of experience in underground wet utilities construction Proven experience as a Foreman or Lead on water, sewer, and storm drain projects Strong understanding of trenching, shoring, pipe installation, and grading Ability to read blueprints and set grades (experience with laser levels/GPS preferred) Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and trench safety regulations Experience working in civil construction environments with multiple crews and equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
