Job Description

Landscaping Lead Company Overview NERT Facility Solutions is a growing national facilities management company based in New England. Our mission is to help our clients create and maintain beautiful and unique environments through professional installations, sustainable practices, and exceptional service. We are seeking a responsible, self-starting Landscaping Lead to manage our groundskeeping teams and ensure high-quality field operations. Role Summary The Landscaping Lead is responsible for overseeing the outdoor spaces and the maintenance of existing grounds for commercial clients. You will be the team lead for this role for crew members, monitor equipment use, and ensure all staff observe safety protocols. As a Lead, you are a professional who can both follow and provide clear instructions, solve problems effectively, and communicate clearly with clients and management. You will also be responsible for maintaining these sites as an active worker.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership:
Delegate tasks to crew members and oversee the proper use of tools and equipment.
Operational Management:
Work closely with the Director of Field Operations and Teams to manage and complete landscaping work orders. Work with Clients on OOS ( additional work that needs to be approved that is not part of the monthly contract/s)
Maintenance & Construction:
Oversee lawn and garden maintenance, ensuring proper use of pesticides, fertilizers, and other chemicals.
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure all crew members strictly obey health and safety regulations at all times.
Training & Development:
Assist in recruiting and training new crew members to maintain high service standards.
Estimation:
Work with Account Managers and Director of Operations to supply proper information in order to process OOS work (photos, etc.)
Software Integration:
Utilize company systems (such as Shepherd) to track work orders and service fulfillment.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
High school diploma or GED required; certification in pesticides is strongly preferred.
Experience:
2-3 years of related experience in the landscaping, to include snow removal, and irrigation industries. Spanish bilingual preferred.
License:
Valid driver's license is mandatory and must be insurable.
Technical Knowledge:
Deep understanding of tools, equipment,
Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear instructions and interface with clients.
Adaptability:
Comfortable with routinely shifting demands and able to problem-solve "on the fly".
Pay:
$25.00 - $27.00 per hour
